Obverse description	Pink-toned emergency note (Notgeld) printed in dark violet ink on a fine guilloche underprint ground, with a repeating floral rosette pattern filling the entire field. The upper portion carries the denomination legend in large Gothic blackletter type, below which the authorising text instructs the Girozentrale für Ost- und Westpreußen in Danzig to pay against this cheque to the Stadtsparkasse Zoppot or bearer. At left, the arms of Zoppot — a castle above a white seagull on a shield — appear as a typographic vignette, while at right a decorative cartouche encloses the numeral denomination '100 Millionen Mark'; two manuscript signatures appear in the centre field above the issuing authority line 'Der Magistrat', with a red circular official seal affixed at lower right.
Obverse lettering	Hundert Millionen Mark deutsche Reichswährung zahle die Girozentrale für Ost- und Westpreußen in Danzig gegen diesen Scheck aus unserem Guthaben an die Stadtsparkasse Joppot oder Überbringer. Joppot, den 28. September 1923 Die Stadthauptkasse. 100 Millionen Mark Die Ansprüche aus diesem Scheck behalten ihre Gültigkeit bis zum Ablauf von zwei Wochen nach Veröffentlichung des Aufrufes des Magistrats Joppot zur Einlösung des Schecks bei der Stadthauptkasse.
