| Beschrijving voorzijde | Printed in dark brown and red-brown on cream paper, the obverse is laid out in two sections divided by a guilloche-patterned right panel. The central left field carries the denomination in large Gothic blackletter script reading 'Hundert Millionen Mark', set over a lozenge-shaped underprint, with the issuing authority 'Notgeld der Stadt Kaiserslautern' in letterpress across the top. Below the denomination, the place and date of issue 'Kaiserslautern den 20. September 1923' appear in italic script, flanked by two manuscript facsimile signatures above the printed titles 'Bürgermeister' (Stadtverwaltung) and 'Finanzrat' (Stadthauptkasse), with a central clause stating the redemption date would be announced in the daily press; the lower margin bears the validity notice 'Umlauffähig im ganzen Regierungsbezirk Pfalz.
