| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in black on cream paper, the obverse is framed by a dense geometric guilloche border of interlocking lozenge and floral motifs. The issuer's title 'Stadt- und Landkreis Aachen.' is set in bold blackletter at the top, with the denomination 'Hundert Millionen Mark' in large Gothic typeface over a fine engine-turned underprint; two circular official seals bearing the Aachen eagle flank a red-overprinted series letter and serial number at upper centre. The date 'Aachen, den 20. Juli 1923' and two manuscript signatures appear in the lower portion beneath the redemption clause, with the printer's imprint 'AUG. HEINRIGS, AACHEN.' at the foot, and a detachable counterfoil to the right carrying an ornate Baroque cartouche inscribed '100 Millionen'. |
