| 表面の説明 | The obverse is dominated by an elaborate green guilloche underprint radiating from the centre, upon which the large blue numeral '100000000' is overprinted. The inscription 'NOVČANI BON' appears in bold blue letters at the top, with 'STO MILIONA DINARA' below the numeral. To the right, the bilingual bank title in Latin and Cyrillic script is printed vertically, accompanied by two manuscript signatures above a stamped date of 10. IX. 1993, referencing the original 1 July 1992 issue date; the denomination 'STO DINARA / СТО ДИНАРА' appears at the lower margin. |

By mid-1993, Bosnia-Herzegovina was in the grip of wartime hyperinflation so severe that the National Bank was forced to issue denominations that would have been unthinkable two years earlier. This 100,000,000 dinar note is part of a frantic series of emergency emissions produced as the Sarajevo government struggled to maintain any functional monetary system under siege conditions and an active blockade.
The denomination itself tells the story. Within months of this note's issue, it was effectively worthless — the inflation rate peaked at figures that made even nine-digit banknotes inadequate for daily transactions.
