| Obverse description | The obverse is set in a letterpress format with large Gothic blackletter text reading "Hundert Milliarden Mark" over a fine guilloche underprint, the central field carrying a light watermark-style Baden arms vignette. The issuing authority "Die Badische Bank" appears at the top in serif type, with the place and date of issue "Mannheim, 30.
