Obverse description The obverse features the crowned Polish eagle of the People's Republic of Poland (PRL), displayed with spread wings and a shield bearing a smaller eagle on its breast, rendered in bold relief at the center of the field. The denomination '10 ZŁ' is prominently superimposed over the body of the eagle. The circular legend 'POLSKA · RZECZPOSPOLITA · LUDOWA' runs along the upper periphery, while the date '· 1970 ·' and the mint mark 'mw' appear in the lower exergual area. The design is executed in a clean, modernist style characteristic of mid-twentieth-century Polish coinage.

Reverse description The reverse presents a stylized monumental composition depicting a vertical grouping of historical Polish regional heraldic shields, arranged in a tiered, overlapping cluster rising from a plinth-like base inscribed with the dates '1945·1970', commemorating the 25th anniversary of the People's Republic of Poland. The inscription 'PRÓBA' (trial/proof) appears vertically along the left side of the field. The arc legend 'BYLIŚMY · JESTEŚMY · BĘDZIEMY' ('We were · We are · We will be') encircles the upper portion of the design. The shields display various traditional Polish territorial emblems, including eagles, lions, and armored figures, rendered in finely engraved relief.
