| Obverse description | Centrally positioned, the Polish state eagle displayed with wings spread, facing dexter, rendered in a stylised socialist-realist manner without a crown, as befitting the People's Republic period. The eagle occupies the majority of the field, its talons visible at the base. The circular legend reads POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA, separated by lozenge-shaped ornamental stops, with the date 1958 appearing in the lower field beneath the eagle, also flanked by stops. |
