| Obverse description | The Polish state eagle, displayed with wings spread and head turned to the right, occupies the upper field, rendered in a stylized modernist manner without a crown in accordance with the People's Republic heraldic convention. The eagle stands atop a decorative architectural plinth or monument base bearing the commemorative inscription in two horizontal panels. The circular legend POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA runs along the outer rim. Below the eagle, the dates 1944 and 1964 flank the central axis of the monument, with the multi-line inscription DWADZIESCIA LAT POLSKI LUDOWEJ proclaiming twenty years of People's Poland. The date 1964 appears in the lower exergue between two raised dots. |
