Obverse description The Polish state eagle, as established by the State Emblem of the Republic of Poland, occupies the upper central field, with the denomination '10 ZŁ' flanking the eagle's legs. Below the eagle, set against the outline of a Polish military eagle, a vertical list of place-name inscriptions reads: KATYŃ / KALININ / CHARKÓW / MIŃSK / CHERSOŃ / KIJÓW, referencing the massacre sites. A semicircular legend arcs along the left periphery reading RZECZPOSPOLITA and continues on the right reading POLSKA 2010. The Mint of Poland mintmark MW appears beneath the eagle's left talon.
