| 背面描述 | Left-facing bust of Kazimierz Wielki (Casimir the Great, King of Poland) occupying the central field, portrayed in a regal medieval style with a crown and long flowing beard, rendered in raised relief. The surrounding field bears an incuse multi-line inscription commemorating the 600th anniversary of the founding of the Jagiellonian University (Sześćsetlecie Uniwersytetu Jagiellońskiego), arranged in a decorative block format around the portrait. The founding year '1364' and the commemorative year '1964' appear within the inscription. The name 'KAZIMIERZ WIELKI' is inscribed along the lower rim in raised letters. |

The 1964 Polish commemorative program marking the 600th anniversary of the Jagiellonian University produced several trial strikes in varying compositions and relief treatments before the final production type was settled. This incuse-legends variant — with the inscriptions pressed into the field rather than raised — represents one of the deliberate design alternatives evaluated by the Mennica Państwowa during that approval process. Such trials were rarely preserved in quantity; most were melted once a production direction was confirmed.
The ParM and Fischer references both treat the incuse and relief legend variants as distinct catalog entries, which accurately reflects their status as separate striking decisions rather than mere accidents.
