| Reverse description | Within the same rectangular format with chamfered corners, a fully armoured Piast dynasty knight is depicted in dynamic three-quarter relief astride a rearing horse, rendered in the style of early medieval Polish iconography. The rider is clad in a conical helmet with mail aventail, a fur-trimmed cloak billowing behind him, and carries a raised sword in his right hand while bearing a round shield on his left arm; a long lance is held diagonally across the composition. The image evokes the equestrian seals of the early Piast rulers and is executed with fine sculptural detail. The inscription JEŹDZIEC PIASTOWSKI is engraved in bold lettering along a diagonal band in the upper right field. |
