| Obverse description | The upper field features the Polish state eagle to the right, with the circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 10 ZŁ 2009' along the upper rim. Dominating the central field is the bold inscription 'ZŁO DOBREM ZWYCIĘŻAJ' ('Overcome evil with good'), a motto attributed to Father Popiełuszko. Below, a horizontal ledge rendered in relief bears a rose laid upon it, evoking a funerary monument. The lower portion of the field carries the dedicatory inscription 'ŚtP KS.
