Reverse description A bold right-facing bust of King Jan III Sobieski dominates the field, depicted in period military dress with a fur-trimmed cap adorned with a feather plume and an ornate clasp at the collar. The name JAN III SOBIESKI is inscribed in a vertical arc along the right periphery, while the commemorative dates 1683–1933, marking the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Vienna, appear vertically along the left field. The portrait is executed in high relief with strong sculptural modelling characteristic of Polish interwar medallic art.
