Obverse description The Polish national coat of arms, the White Eagle (Orzeł Biały), displayed centrally in the field with wings spread and head turned to the right, rendered in bold relief with detailed feathering. The date 1971 appears beneath the eagle's talons, flanked by the mintmark MW on the right and the engraver's initials JM-N at lower right.
