| 正面描述 | The obverse features the Polish state emblem — a crowned white eagle with wings spread — occupying the right field, rendered in high relief against a mirror-like proof background. To the left, the heraldic coat of arms of Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński is depicted, featuring a bishop's mitre and crozier with ornate detailing. The arc legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA runs along the upper rim. The denomination 10 ZŁ and the year 2021 appear in the lower field, flanking the mint mark MW. |

Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński spent three years under house arrest — 1953 to 1956 — after refusing to collaborate with Poland's communist government in its campaign to subordinate the Catholic Church to state control. His beatification, originally scheduled for 1981 and blocked for decades by the same political forces he had resisted, finally took place in Warsaw on September 12, 2021. The coin was issued to coincide with that ceremony, which had itself been delayed a further year by the pandemic.
