| 背面描述 | The reverse features a bold depiction of the Sigismund's Column (Kolumna Zygmunta), Warsaw's iconic baroque monument, rising prominently from a stepped base at center. The numeral 10 appears in large format to the lower left of the column, with the denomination ZŁOTYCH inscribed to its right. A flock of birds in flight is depicted in the upper field to the left of the column, conveying a sense of freedom and movement. The word PRÓBA (trial/pattern) appears vertically along the right field. The commemorative inscription VII·WIEKÓW·WARSZAWY (Seven Centuries of Warsaw) curves along the lower periphery, referencing the city's 700th anniversary. |

Warsaw's 700th anniversary fell in 1965, and the Mint of Poland produced several trial strikes in differing compositions and finishes as the design and specification were worked out before the circulating commemorative was approved. This nickel piece is one of those pre-production tests — the approved circulation issue was struck in copper-nickel, making the nickel trials a distinct and separately catalogued category. Fischer and Parchimowicz both list variants, reflecting genuine differences between trial specimens that reached different hands during the approval process.
