Warsaw's 700th anniversary in 1965 generated an unusually large family of trial strikes, with the Mint of Poland experimenting across multiple compositions and finishes before settling on the aluminum-bronze circulation issue. This nickel trial never entered production — it exists specifically as an internal proof of concept, and surviving examples derive almost entirely from the mint's own archives rather than any form of official distribution.
