Obverse description Central device depicts the crowned Polish eagle displayed, rendered in relief within a recessed inner circle. The eagle, the emblem of the Polish People's Republic, is shown with wings spread, head turned to the right, and talons clasping a shield on the breast. The circular legend surrounding the inner circle reads POLSKA · RZECZPOSPOLITA · LUDOWA · 1969 · mw, with the mint mark 'mw' for the Warsaw Mint incorporated into the inscription. The design is executed in a clean, socialist-realist style typical of Polish coinage of the period.
