| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse is printed in dark blue on a pale yellow-green guilloche underprint. A central vignette presents the Polish state eagle on a shield set within an elaborate scroll cartouche, surmounted by the arched bank title legend. Below the eagle, the denomination is rendered in large bold letterpress as "DZIESIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH" flanked by the numeral "10" on each side. Symmetrical ornamental rosettes occupy the lateral margins, and a three-line legal tender and anti-counterfeiting inscription appears beneath the central cartouche, dated 1944. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is executed in dark blue over a pale yellow-green fine-line guilloche ground. A large central shield-shaped cartouche carries the numeral "10" at top, the legend "DZIESIĘĆ ZŁOTYCH" at centre, and the numeral "10" again at the base, all surrounded by intricate lathe-work scrollwork. Matching ornate rosette vignettes with secondary numeral "10" panels occupy both lateral fields, and the arched inscription "NARODOWY BANK POLSKI" runs along the upper border. |

| Opmerkingen |
This note belongs to the first NBP series issued after the Soviet-backed Polish Committee of National Liberation established Narodowy Bank Polski by decree on 15 January 1944 — before the war had even ended and while the London government-in-exile still claimed legitimacy. The series was printed in the USSR, a detail the notes' own typography carefully avoids advertising.
Counterfeiting was a documented problem with this series almost immediately, partly a consequence of the rudimentary wartime production conditions. The watermark was among the few technical deterrents available.
