Bank Polski was reconstituted in 1924 as part of Władysław Grabski's sweeping monetary reform, which replaced the hyperinflated Polish marka with the złoty at a ratio of 1,800,000 to one. This 10 Złotych note belongs to the series that followed that stabilization — printed in the cautiously optimistic years before the Great Depression hit Poland particularly hard after 1931.
Three signatories is unusual for a note of this denomination and reflects the bank's collegiate governance structure under its statutes. Eichler's design work for Bank Polski spanned several denominations in this period, making him one of the more prolific Polish banknote designers of the interwar republic.
