Obverse description The obverse features the Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed at the center of the field, each head crowned separately with an additional large imperial crown surmounting both heads above. The eagle bears on its breast an elaborate composite shield depicting the arms of the Russian Empire, with additional armorial shields displayed on each wing. The mint mark 'MW' (Mennica Warszawska) appears beneath the eagle's talons. A Cyrillic circular legend surrounding the design within a beaded border reads the fine silver content specification.
