| Obverse description | The obverse features a detailed depiction of the Basilica of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary in Wadowice, birthplace of Karol Wojtyła, rendered in fine relief at right. To the left, a decorative sundial panel inscribed with the motto CZAS UCIEKA WIECZNOŚĆ CZEKA (Time Flies, Eternity Waits) occupies the central field, with radiating lines suggesting the passage of time. The Polish eagle, the national emblem, appears in low relief at lower left. The denomination 10 ZŁ is inscribed to the left of the central motif, and the circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2020 runs along the upper periphery. The mint mark MW appears within the design. |
