Reverse description The central design depicts two stylized hemispheres of the globe flanking athletic figures bearing a lit Olympic torch, symbolizing the global reach of the Games. At the upper left and right, stylized figures of ancient runners appear in relief. Below the left runner, the inscription 'Ateny / 1896' denotes the inaugural modern Olympics in Athens, while 'Atlanta / 1996' to the right references the centennial Games. A column in the form of a Classical capital appears behind the central torch-bearer. The semicircular legend '100 LAT NOWOŻYTNYCH IGRZYSK OLIMPIJSKICH' runs along the lower rim, with the engraver's initials 'RK' present in the field.
