| 正面描述 | The national emblem of the People's Republic of China occupies the central field, depicting Tiananmen Gate surmounted by a large five-pointed star flanked by four smaller stars, all encircled by a wreath of grain ears bound at the base by a cogwheel. Decorative foliate scrollwork flanks the emblem to the left and right. The Chinese legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) is inscribed in a curved arc below the emblem, with the date 1993 appearing at the bottom of the field. |

China's Lunar series silver issues from this period were produced at multiple facilities — the 1993 Rooster was struck at both the Shanghai and Shenyang mints, with output split between the two. Proof examples from Shanghai are generally considered the sharper strike of the two, though both carry the same KM reference.
Mintage was capped at 100,000 pieces across the series, part of a deliberate policy by the People's Bank to build international collector demand for Chinese precious metal issues following the program's strong reception in the late 1980s.
