Reverse description Two naturalistically rendered domestic pigs are depicted in the central field in high sculptural relief against a mirror-polished proof background, with the larger animal standing in the foreground facing right and a second, slightly smaller pig resting behind it. A leafy branch with broad foliage extends across the upper field, framing the composition from above. Chinese seal-script characters denoting the cyclical year of the Pig appear to the upper left and lower right of the central motif. The denomination 10元 (10 Yuan) is inscribed in bold characters along the lower field. A beaded border frames the entire design.
