| 裏面の説明 | A finely detailed galloping horse rendered in high relief occupies the central field, depicted in full stride with flowing mane and tail, conveying a strong sense of dynamic motion. The background features a lightly frosted landscape suggestive of open terrain, enhancing the three-dimensional depth of the equine figure. The denomination 10元 appears in the upper right field, while the Chinese cyclical character 午 (the Jiawu year, corresponding to the Horse in the Chinese zodiac) is inscribed in the lower left field. The design is framed by the coin's characteristic eight-lobed scalloped border, consistent with the Chinese Lunar series coinage of this period. |

China's lunar silver program has run annually since 1981, but the 2014 Horse issue marked the second full cycle through the twelve-animal calendar — the first complete cycle having closed with the 2012 Horse. The People's Bank has progressively tightened authorized mintage figures on these 1-oz lunar pieces over successive cycles, making later-cycle examples generally less available in quantity than their 1980s predecessors despite stronger collector demand.
