Aanvullende informatie

The 2011 Xi'an International Horticultural Exposition ran from April through October across a 418-hectare site in the Chanba Ecological District — China's largest horticultural exposition to that point. Xi'an was a deliberate choice, the city's position as the starting point of the ancient Silk Road lending the event an obvious symbolic hook for its theme of blending natural and cultural heritage.

China's commemorative silver program for exposition events expanded aggressively in this period, with the People's Bank issuing coins tied to nearly every major state-sponsored international event. Collectors should note the series is wide; this piece is one of several denominations and compositions issued for the same exposition.
