| Obverse description | The national emblem of the People's Republic of China is depicted centrally, comprising Tiananmen Gate rendered in fine relief, surmounted by a constellation of five stars — one large star above four smaller stars arranged in an arc — all encircled by a wreath of grain ears bound at the base by a cogwheel.
