| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a vibrant colour-printed design depicting two celebrated characters from the classic Peking Opera scene 'Jiang Xiang He' (将相和, 'The General and the Prime Minister'): the aged general Lian Po, shown with an elaborately painted face (lian pu) in black and white, a long flowing white beard, and richly embroidered robes with dragon motifs in red and gold, and the statesman Lin Xiangru at right, distinguished by his black beard, ornate headdress, and elaborately decorated court robes in gold and green. The denomination 10 元 is inscribed at the top of the field, with the inscription 中国京剧将相和 in vertical arrangement on the left identifying the operatic subject. |
