Aanvullende informatie

The 1993 Panda bullion program was issued during a period when the People's Bank of China was aggressively expanding the series' international distribution, particularly into the U.S. and German collector markets. That year also marked one of the more contentious decisions in the series' history: the mint shifted to a policy of changing the panda design annually, a move that had been inconsistent in earlier years and that now became codified — deliberately driving collector demand by ensuring no two consecutive years shared an identical reverse.

Struck at either Shenyang or Beijing; coins from this year are not always straightforward to attribute by mint mark, and collectors should verify against known examples.
