| Reverse description | The reverse presents a three-quarter length effigy of Madame Xian (冼夫人), the celebrated Li people (黎族) chieftainess and military leader of the Sui dynasty, depicted in traditional ethnic costume with elaborate beaded headdress and richly embroidered robes, holding a sword at her lower right. To her left, a stylized palm tree and a traditional thatched dwelling evoke her southern homeland. In the right field, a massed formation of soldiers bearing a banner is shown in low relief, evoking her military campaigns. The upper legend reads 冼夫人（黎族）公元513-602 in Chinese characters, and the denomination 10元 appears in the lower right field. |
