Aanvullende informatie

The Kuan Yin gold series, running through much of the 1980s and 1990s, was part of China's broader strategy of producing bullion and semi-numismatic issues for the export market following the reopening of the country to Western collectors after 1978. The 1993 issue carries a mintage of 60,000 pieces — modest by bullion standards but unremarkable for the series.

Worth noting: the People's Bank of China did not consistently certify mintage figures for these issues during this period, and published numbers in standard references occasionally conflict with later official disclosures.
