Reverse description Fan-shaped field engraved with a detailed classical Chinese painting scene depicting flowering plants, rocks, and foliage rendered in the refined gongbi or literati style associated with Ming and Qing dynasty fan paintings. Prominent among the motifs are chrysanthemum-like blossoms, broad-leafed plants, and decorative rockery, all rendered with fine line engraving evoking the brushwork of traditional Chinese court and scholar painting. A small seal-script or artist's mark inscription appears in the lower right corner of the fan field. The overall composition faithfully reproduces the aesthetic conventions of Ming and Qing dynasty fan-format paintings.
