| Reverse description | The reverse presents a richly detailed narrative composition celebrating the evolution of the dragon motif in Chinese art across multiple historical periods. At centre-right, a large coiled dragon rendered in high relief occupies the dominant portion of the field, its sinuous body and scaled surface executed with fine detail and identified by an inscription as dating from BC 100 to AD 200. To the upper left, a circular jade bi disc decorated with dragon imagery in concentric patterning represents the Warring States period (BC 300–200), while at lower left a smaller C-shaped jade dragon form is attributed to BC 3000. Additional inscriptions in Chinese characters identify each artefact and its historical epoch. The denomination 10元 is inscribed along the lower border in bold numerals, with further descriptive text flanking it in the exergue. |
