| 备注 |
The Bank of China was established in February 1912 as successor to the Qing dynasty's Ta-Ching Government Bank, and this note belongs to its earliest issuing period — printed before the new Republic had any stable grip on monetary affairs. The American Bank Note Company had already produced notes for Chinese institutions going back decades, and the relationship continued seamlessly through the dynastic transition.
Pick 18 exists in a range of overprinted varieties specifying different branch offices as the place of payment — Shanghai, Peking, Tientsin, Canton, and others — which significantly affects both rarity and value. The branch designation is the detail that matters most for attribution here.
