Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Sun Yat-sen at left within an ornate scrollwork frame, with denomination characters 拾圓 set against a large multicolour guilloche rosette at centre. The bank title 中央銀行 appears at top centre, with the date and printer inscriptions in a panel at lower centre; two red chop seals flank the serial number printed in red at lower left and lower right.

(Translation: The Central Bank of China Ten Yuan Printed in the 25th year of the Republic of China De La Rue Printing Company)
Reverse description Central vignette of the ceremonial gateway (paifang) at the entrance to the Kong Family Cemetery, Qufu, associated with the Tomb and Temple of Confucius, rendered in fine intaglio line work. The architectural motif is framed by decorative guilloche borders, with the denomination and issuer legend in English across the upper and lower margins.
