The Beijing Coin and Stamp Fair series was produced annually by the China Mint as a dedicated issue for the collector market at that event, functioning more as a fair souvenir than a circulating commemorative. The 2002 edition is one of the harder dates to source in quantity, largely because fair-day distribution kept pieces dispersed among individual buyers rather than bulk dealer allocations.
