| Obverse description | Central view of the former Hubei Military Government building (the seat of the 1911 Revolution), rendered in fine relief against a plain field. A pine tree appears to the left of the structure. The inscription 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs along the upper border in Chinese characters. Two vertical lines of smaller text appear to the lower left of the building, and the lower field bears the commemorative legend 辛亥革命八十周年纪念 (80th Anniversary Commemoration of the 1911 Revolution) with the dates 1911–1991 in the exergue. |
