Ribbons and floral scrollwork fill the surrounding field in a highly ornate style evocative of traditional Tibetan decorative art. The commemorative inscription '西藏和平解放六十周年' (60th Anniversary of the Peaceful Liberation of Tibet) is engraved in Chinese characters along the upper arc, with a corresponding Tibetan script inscription below it. The denomination '10元' appears in the lower portion of the field. |
