Reverse description A radiant rising sun occupies the central field, set within a decorative floral cartouche. The legend encircles the design in kanji script, reading 'Great Japan · Meiji Year [date] · Ten Yen', with individual paulownia flower seals (kiri mon) serving as punctuation marks separating the inscription segments. The border is carefully finished, consistent with the high-relief minting standards of the Imperial Japanese Mint during the Meiji period.
