Beschrijving voorzijde Central depiction of Namdaemun (Sungnyemun), the historic South Gate of Seoul, rendered in detailed relief showing the two-tiered pavilion roof with characteristic bracketing and the arched stone gateway below. The Hangul denomination '십원' (ten won) appears prominently in the upper field above the gate. The Hangul legend '한국은행시주화' (Bank of Korea pattern coin) is inscribed along the lower rim, curving beneath the central device.
