Molossia is a micronation founded by Kevin Baugh, occupying a residential property in Nevada and claiming formal independence since 1999. Its currency, the Valora, is pegged to cookie dough — specifically, Pillsbury tube cookie dough, a deliberate absurdist policy that nonetheless gives the exchange rate a tangible, if perishable, anchor.
This piece is plastic rather than struck metal, which places it closer to a token or novelty scrip than conventional coinage by any numismatic definition. Collectors pursue Molossian issues primarily as micronation ephemera.
