| 正面描述 | The national emblem of the Kyrgyz Republic occupies the central field, depicting a stylized white gyrfalcon (the sacred bird of Kyrgyz tradition) with wings spread, set against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains beneath a rising sun with radiating rays. The emblem is encircled by a wreath of wheat ears on either side. The Cyrillic legend КЫРГЫЗ at the top arc and РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ along the lower arc frame the device, with the date 2008 inscribed in the exergue below. |

The tyiyn — one-hundredth of a som — has had a troubled circulation history since Kyrgyzstan introduced its own currency in May 1993, breaking from the post-Soviet ruble zone. Rampant inflation through the 1990s rendered sub-som denominations nearly worthless in practice, and most were abandoned by the public almost immediately. The 2008 reissue of this denomination reflects a stabilization effort rather than genuine demand, as the som had by then recovered enough purchasing power to make small fractions nominally functional again.
