The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem is among the oldest surviving Catholic orders of chivalry, with roots traceable to the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem. It issues coins not as circulating currency — it holds no territorial sovereignty — but as collector pieces tied to its charitable mission funding Latin Church institutions in the Holy Land. The "Tori" denomination is the Order's own invented unit, named for the tori cross of its heraldry.
