| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse is dominated by a large central guilloche rosette composed of interlaced looping bands forming Buddhist eternal knot motifs in pink and green, flanked symmetrically by two smaller matching rosettes. Denomination value "АРВАН ТӨГРӨГ" is inscribed in bold Cyrillic across the centre, with traditional Mongolian vertical script panels in rectangular cartouches on each side. Corner numerals "10" and their mirror forms appear in decorative frames, and the entire design is enclosed within an intricate geometric border on an orange-toned fine-line guilloche background. |

Mongolia's 1966 series was the second full redesign issued under the Mongolian People's Republic, replacing the 1955 notes that had themselves replaced the post-war 1941 issue. The State Bank — Mongol Ardyn Bügd Nairamdakh Ulsyn Töröt Bank — operated under direct Soviet economic supervision throughout this period, and the note's design and production arrangements reflected that dependency, though attribution of the actual printing to a specific press remains contested among specialists.
The series ran for fifteen years without modification, an unusually long lifespan for a Soviet-aligned state bank issue.
