Obverse description The national coat of arms of Uzbekistan occupies the central field, depicting a rising sun above a landscape with mountains and a river, flanked by two cotton plants and wheat stalks, with a Khumo bird displayed at the apex. The shield is encircled by a wreath of cotton bolls and wheat ears, bound at the base by a tricolor ribbon in the national colors. Twelve five-pointed stars arranged in an arc along the upper border of the design represent the twelve provinces of Uzbekistan. The Cyrillic legend ЎЗБЕКИСТОН РЕСПУБЛИКАСИ (Republic of Uzbekistan) is inscribed in two lines along the upper periphery of the coin.
