| Obverse description | Centrally positioned crowned quartered shield of arms of Hesse-Cassel, displaying multiple heraldic quarters including the lion of Hesse, encircled by a decorative wreath forming an order collar or necklace. The arms are surmounted by an ornate electoral crown.
