| Obverse description | The obverse is executed in fine intaglio engraving and centres on the bold heading "ZEHN / Thaler Courant" above the text "Fürstlich Schaumburg-Lippische Kassen-Anweisung" and the authorising law reference dated 2 January 1857. Two allegorical female winged figures flank the design — the left holding a heraldic shield and the right holding a laurel wreath — with the denomination numeral "10" rendered in large type at each lower corner. Two manuscript signatures appear across the lower centre, beneath the printed text of the Controll-Commission. |
