Reverse description Left-facing bust of Fletcher Christian, the English mutineer and master's mate of HMS Bounty, occupies the left portion of the field, rendered in moderate relief with period costume details visible at the shoulder. To the right, a fully rigged three-masted sailing vessel—evoking HMS Bounty—is depicted under sail on open seas. The legend FLETCHER CHRISTIAN 1764 - 1793 curves along the upper periphery, and the issue year 2003 is inscribed in the lower exergue.
