Beschrijving voorzijde The national coat of arms of Samoa occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield displaying the Southern Cross constellation of five stars in the lower half and a stylised ocean wave with a coconut palm in the upper half, surmounted by a Christian cross above the shield. The arms are flanked by two olive branches forming a wreath, and a scroll at the base bears the national motto in the exergue. The legend SAMOA arcs across the upper field, while the denomination $10 appears below the arms.

Aanvullende informatie

Part of a ten-coin series issued by Samoa in 2010, each piece dedicated to one of the Ten Commandments. These types were produced for the collector market by the New Zealand Mint under license — Samoa has long been a vehicle for such themed issues, its mint authority lending legal-tender status to coins designed and struck entirely abroad for international distribution.
